The purpose of the Sons of Liberty is to bring the perspective of the founding fathers back into the forefront of political ideals in our country. The Principles of sound money, personal responsibility, limited government, truly free markets, and liberty before security must be the first consideration for our legislation, our leaders, and our votes.
We aim to remind the citizens and our government that the policy of our government should be, "to leave its citizens free, neither restraining them nor aiding them in their pursuits." -Thomas Jefferson.
Our goal is to illuminate the concepts of a truly free society and expose the erosion of our liberties perpetrated by a federal government far larger than anything the founding fathers would have supported. No longer should the acts of few strip the rights of many, no longer should government obstruct the free exercise of industry; nor seize the fruits acquired by it. We must begin to remind people of the government conceived by our founding fathers, knowing that they would rather die in a free country than to live in a secure one.
